soorten

In principle, you can choose from three types of cast floors:

Cast floor UV (pu cast floor)

The polyurethane floor is a floor that is mainly laid in private homes. This is mainly because it is a very comfortable and warm floor. It is a floor that can be combined well with different materials and colours. The floor is available in all colours and can therefore be made entirely to your own wishes. Because it is an elastic floor, it can be used very well with underfloor heating and is also sound-absorbing. It can also be used in the bathroom because it is seamless and liquid-tight.

Residential concrete

Also called cement-bound cast floor or living concrete. As the name suggests, the cement-bound cast floor is a floor made on the basis of cement. It is a sturdy and lively floor. Perfect if you want a little more character in your floor. Because it is an elastic floor, it can be used very well with underfloor heating and is also sound-absorbing. It can also be used in the bathroom because it is seamless and liquid-tight.

Epoxy cast floor

An epoxy cast floor is a floor that consists of the plastic epoxy, which is liquid. This type of floor is not only easy to maintain and very wear-resistant, it is also very sturdy and hardens quickly. An epoxy cast floor is therefore perfectly suited for rooms that have to endure a lot. Click here for more information about the epoxy cast floor. Because it is an elastic floor, it can be used very well with underfloor heating and is also sound-absorbing. It can also be used in the bathroom because it is seamless and liquid-tight.
What is a cast floor?

A cast floor is a thin layer of liquid cement, plastic or epoxy that is spread and then hardened.

But which type of cast floor is most suitable for which room? This depends on what the focus should be on. If it is mainly important that a cast floor must be able to withstand certain acids or if hygiene is extremely important, then an EPO xy cast floor is the most suitable.

The thickness of our cast floor UV, cast floor comfort and residential concrete is 3 to 4 millimeters thick. The coating floor is 1 to 2 millimeters thick.

Despite the fact that a cast floor is a relatively thin floor, it is a very strong floor. For example, an epoxy cast floor is mainly used in business because of its intensive use.

Once you have chosen a certain type of cast floor, you arrive at the next step – the actual installation of the cast floor. We explain how this works based on the following five phases:

OUR PROCESS

1. The preparation

What needs to be done in terms of preparation depends on the floor that is there. With an anhydrite and cement screed, sanding is still required.

When there is a tiled floor, it must be sanded and leveled. With a fermacell floor, only leveling is required.

2. The first layer: priming

The first layer is also called the primer. Before we apply the primer, we make sure that the irregularities are removed, holes are filled and stucco residues are removed.

Then we apply the primer so that the cast floor adheres well to the substrate. Letting the primer cure takes a few hours.

3. The second layer: scraping

After the first layer is on and has hardened well, a scraping layer of epoxy is applied. Here we scrape off the irregularities.

This creates a floor that is tight in it, after which the cast floor can then be poured on.

The cast floor

And only now is it really coming, the cast floor! This step ultimately determines the color and concrete look. You can be present during the start of laying the cast floor so that you can indicate whether you want a quiet or busy concrete look.

We now have extensive experience so it is not necessarily necessary to be present.

5. Matte topcoat

The top layer is a transparent lacquer and the last layer protects the cast floor and provides a beautiful finish. After this topcoat has been applied, all phases have been completed and the floor is ready for use.

This process takes about 4 to 5 working days. When we start on Monday, you can lightly load the floor during the weekend.
